Pave is an app marketplace that connects aspiring athletes with proven college and professional athletes for paid guidance, advice, and mentorship. It’s built to help young athletes learn directly from those who’ve already been where they want to go.
Who is Pave for?
Pave is for two types of athletes:
- Aspiring athletes (middle and high schoolers) who want real insight, direction, and motivation from someone who’s been there.
- Proven athletes (college and professional athletes) who want to share their experience, give back, and earn from mentorship.
Is Pave free to join?
Yes. Creating a profile is free for both mentors and mentees. You only pay when you purchase a Q&A response, monthly messaging, or book a 1:1 video call.
What makes Pave different?
Pave is built by athletes, for athletes. Every connection is authentic, personal, and built around real experience. Whether you’re asking for recruiting tips or mindset advice, you’re getting it straight from someone who’s lived it.
How do I get started on Pave?
Download the Pave app, sign up, create your profile, explain your story, current state as an athlete, and explain your goals. Once you publish your profile, you can start connecting with college and pro athletes right away.
How do I find a mentor on Pave?
Browse through athletes by sport, level, location, or background. Pave will auto-match and suggest athletes that align with your goals and story. You can view their profiles, see what they offer, and choose the option that fits your goals and budget. These engagement options include: submitting questions for personalized video responses, subscribing for monthly messaging, or booking 1:1 video calls.
What can these proven athletes help me with?
Anything related to your athletic journey: goal setting, mental approach and mindset, training routines, recruiting advice, and preparing for college-level competition.
How do the different offerings and communication formats work?
- Questions: Submit a specific question and receive a personalized video reply.

Where do I manage everything?
The Connect tab in the app shows all your booked calls, ongoing conversations, and completed interactions, making it easy to stay on top of your mentorship.
How much does mentorship cost?
Each athlete sets their own rates based on the type of offering and time commitment. You will always have transparent pricing upfront before booking.
What if I don’t know who to pick?
You can explore featured mentors, view ratings, or start with a single question to get a feel for their story and personality before committing to more or long-term sessions.
Can I connect with more than one mentor?
Yes! You can work with multiple mentors across different sports or positions. You can build a “team” of mentors for all aspects of your athletic development.
How does Pave work as a mentor?
College and professional athletes create mentor profiles, set your own rate and offerings (Q&A videos, monthly messaging, or 1:1 video calls), and manage/execute everything within the app. Aspiring athletes can discover, vet you as an athlete, book sessions with you, ask questions, and pay for access to message you all in one place.
How do I become a mentor on Pave?
Signup on the website, download the Pave app, verify your athletic background, and set up your offerings. Once approved, publish your profile on the app and promote yourself on social media and you will start getting discovered and connect with aspiring athletes right away.
What can I offer as a mentor?
You can choose from three formats:
- Answer Questions (short, paid selfie video responses)
- Monthly Messaging (direct chats with your mentees)
- 1v1 Video Calls (scheduled video sessions for more tailored, in-depth mentorship)
Do I control my pricing and schedule?
Yes. You set their own rates and manage your availability directly in the app.
How do I get paid?
Payments are processed securely through Pave and can be transferred to your bank account once sessions are completed.
How does Pave help me manage and organize my sessions and schedule?
The Connect tab keeps track of your calls, messages, and open questions, and responses. You will see all your activity in one place, so it’s simple to stay organized.

How do payments work?
Athletes pay securely through the app at the time of booking & purchase. Pave holds the payment until the mentor completes the session or response. If the Mentor does not answer after a set period of time, or skips a call, the payment can be automatically refunded.
Are payments secure?
Yes. All transactions are encrypted and processed by trusted third-party payment providers.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis if there’s a technical issue or a mentor doesn’t deliver a session.
Are there any hidden fees?
Pave takes a service fee for each session that takes place. You’ll always see the cost before you buy.
Where do I manage and organize all of my purchases?
The Connect tab is your central hub for connecting with your mentor. It tracks all your questions, messages, and upcoming 1v1 calls so you can easily manage your relationships and progress.
Can I message or video call directly in the app?
Yes. All communication including messaging, calls, and Q&A happen securely inside the Pave app.
Can parents be involved?
Yes. Parents are encouraged to help younger athletes set up their account and oversee payments and progress for sessions.
Does Pave have a web version?
Pave is app-based for now, designed for smooth communication and scheduling between athletes. The web app is coming soon!
Can schools or teams partner with Pave?
Yes. Pave partners with schools, clubs, and organizations to give athletes structured mentorship access from college and professional players.
Is there an ambassador or referral program?
Yes. We offer ambassador opportunities for athletes and organizations who want to represent Pave in their community.
How does Pave verify athletes?
All mentors go through a quick verification process to confirm their college or pro status before going live on the platform.
